Our vision takes significantly more than a basic appreciation of what gaming’s all about. It requires foresight, experience, and a degree of obsession – all of which can be said of TNWA’s management team:
Paul Sulyok – Managing Director
Paul combines financial, technical and managerial skills with a commercial track record of success. In 2002 Paul co-founded FinScope Limited, a software company focused exclusively on the development and selling of a commoditized algorithmic trading engine for stock brokers, fund managers and hedge funds.
Prior to founding FinScope, Paul worked for Capco, a major financial services consulting firm where he managed global implementation projects as well as having successfully developed a new business region. He started his business career at GE as a project manager. Paul graduated from Leicester University with a degree in Economics and went on to The Royal Military Academy Sandhurst, after which he spent 6 years in The Light Infantry serving in a number of operational theatres.
Mark McGuinness-Smith – Chief Financial Officer
Prior to joining TNWA, Mark was the Finance & Operations Director of Capcom Europe. He has been in the computer games industry for 5 years having previously held the same role at Acclaim Entertainment. He has experience in both the publishing and development sides of the business and of managing an international finance operation. As well as a strong financial background, Mark brings a wealth of experience of the computer games industry and close links with the first party console manufacturers from his Operations role.
Prior to joining the games industry Mark worked at M&S, Queens Moat Houses and Deloittes where he qualified as an Accountant in 1994.
Simon Green – Chief Technical Officer
Simon was previously at the independent game developer Elixir Studios where he held the post of Chief Technical Officer. Elixir produced a number of leading-edge games which have a keen following in the gaming community, including the much lauded Evil Genius.
At Elixir Studios, Simon was responsible for both the architecture, building and delivery of systems; and management of multiple programming teams, ensuring sensible technology sharing and re-use across projects. Prior to joining Elixir, Simon graduated with a first class BSc degree in Computer Science from Manchester University, before spending several years working for the independent software company Harlequin Ltd - now owned by Global Graphics Software Ltd.
